T.M. Kelsy Green wins best paper award
Kelsy Green’s paper titled, “Microstructural tailoring of ferritic/martensitic grade 91 steel using wire arc additive manufacturing” was selected among the twenty-five most outstanding ones of International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) 2020.

Congrats to Gabriella Bruno for completing her first irradiation in the Michigan Ion Beam Laboratory as part of her work within the SNAP project! The irradiation was a dual beam irradiation completed to 70.

Prof. Field visits NSUF partner facility
Prof. Field and University of Michigan collaborator Dr. Miao Song traveled to Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) to peform analytical electron microscopy on neutron irradiated austenitic stainless steel samples from a commericial nuclear reactor as part of the Rapid Simulation of Irradaition Damage in PWR Internals project.

G. Bruno wins ANS award
ANS has awarded Gabriella Bruno and her senior design partners Ngai To Yu, Chad Meece, Robert Jacob, and Ryan O’Neill who were advised by Prof. Yaron Danon an award as part of the Undergraduate Student Design Competition.
